Breaking The Chains

This episode of Breaking the Chains explores the various emotional and psychological effects on female journalists doing field work in conflict zones. Different subjects discuss the effects of PTSD due to long-term exposure to scenes that are violent, devastating, shocking, and some that have long-lasting reactions that cannot be left behind on the field. The struggles of finding a balance, and coping with fear, anxiety and other effects of the scenes they witness on a regular basis, have varying, but real, often long-term effects on these women and their personal lives. 

This selection of scenes from the full-length episode showcase key accounts described by the guests through a series of dramatic re-enactments.
